Subordinate

Subordinate role is created by the platform operator. The platform operator shares his/her responsibilities with the subordinate(s) to get assistance in configuring the platform. Subordinates and Operators have similar access to the platform, except a few restrictions that a platform operator holds to manage the subordinate(s).
Create
To create a subordinate user:
- Login to the DL Asset Track™ platform with your Platform Operator credentials.
- Click on the Profile name / Profile photo / Role at the top right corner of the screen.
- Click on the Subordinate from the list of available options.

- On the next page, click on + Subordinate at the top right corner of the screen.

All the users on this page are Subordinate users.
- On Create page, enter the Name and Email in the respective textboxes.
Create Subordinate Account
The email ID must not exceed 80 characters.
- Choose a preferred language from the drop-down list.
The platform supports English, Japanese, Thai, French, and Spanish languages.

Check the Create Another checkbox to stay on the Create page if required to create more subordinates.
Check the Retain Data checkbox to retain the current data for the next subordinate user to be created.
To enable 'Retain Data' checkbox, ‘Create Another’ checkbox should be checked.
- Next, click Save.
Once saved, a notification 'Subordinate created successfully.' displays at the bottom left of the screen.

Now, the new subordinate details are saved on the DLAT platform.
If there is a problem with your internet connection, a notification displays "Your web browser may have encountered an issue. Please try again." It means the Subordinate is not added.

- In this case, repeat steps in this section to add subordinate(s).
Update
To update the details of an existing subordinate user, follow the steps:
- Click on Profile name / Profile photo / Role at the top right corner of your screen.
- Next, click on the Subordinate from the list of available options.

- Now, click on the Pencil icon to edit the details of a subordinate.

Next, the Update window appears from the right-hand side of the screen. View the details to update.
To update the subordinate's Name or Email, click on the respective field(s) and edit.
To update the preferred language, select the language from the drop-down list.

- Click on Update at the bottom right side of the screen, to save the updated data.
Once updated, a notification appears "Subordinate updated successfully" at the bottom left of your screen.

Awaiting Activation
Once subordinate is created successfully, the platform sends an automated email for account activation to the subordinate registered email id. If the subordinate is not activated within the stipulated time, the platform operator must resend the email to activate the subordinate manually.
Follow the steps to activate the subordinate user(s) manually:
- After login to the DL Asset Track platform, click on your Profile name / Profile photo / Role from the top right corner of your screen.
- Click on the Subordinate from the list of available options.

If the subordinate activation is still pending, the status column shows Awaiting activation.
- Click on the Mailbox icon under the actions column to resend an activation link to the subordinate user.

Once clicked on the Mailbox icon, a notification "Account activation link has been resent" at the bottom left of your screen.

- Now, subordinate can check the activation link on the registered email account and activate the account.
Activate and Deactivate
Follow the steps to deactivate and activate subordinate user(s):
- After login to the DL Asset Track platform, click on your Profile name / Profile photo / Role at the top right corner of the screen.
- Click on the Subordinate from the list of available options.
- Click on the Activate icon at the Actions column to activate an inactive Subordinate user.

- Once clicked on the Activate icon, a confirmation pop-up “Are you sure you want to continue?” appears, click Yes to proceed.

Once clicked on the Activate icon, a notification appears "Subordinate activated successfully" at the bottom left of your screen.

- Next, click on the Deactivate icon at the Actions column to deactivate an active Subordinate user.

- Next, a confirmation pop-up “Are you sure you want to continue?” appears, click Yes to proceed.

- Similarly, to deactivate multiple users, check the boxes of the required subordinate names and click on Deactivate at the top right corner of the screen.

- Once deactivated, a notification appears "Subordinate deactivated successfully" at the bottom left of your screen.

- Similarly, to activate multiple inactive subordinate users, select more than one checkbox of the subordinate names and click on Activate from the top right corner of the screen.

The status of that subordinate changes to Inactive once it's deactivated and vice versa.
Activate or deactivate icon appears depending on the status of the Subordinate's account. If the Subordinate is active, the icon shows deactivate it and vice versa.
