Aggregation Features v8.5.1

March 23rd, 2022                                                                                                              Version 8.5.1

Operators and Subordinates can configure the condition, scheduler, aggregation/ post aggregation script, and trigger in the settings of the business workflow-trigger node. The enhancements include:

  • The business workflow-trigger node can now aggregate the attribute values of all assets or a group of assets.
  • Asset(s) with aggregated values are created or triggered in the target workflow(s) based on the aggregation settings.
  • A business workflow-trigger node can be configured in any position in a business workflow sequence. It is no longer required to configure trigger nodes as the last node in a sequence.
  • Aggregate assets using various aggregation functions, namely SUM, COUNT, AVG, MIN, and MAX, provided by an aggregation script.
  • A new feature has been added to obtain the paginated list of aggregated or parent assets for a child asset by going to its tracing page. This feature is active only if aggregated or parent assets count is more than ten.

Features Delivered in this Update

Operators and Subordinates can configure the condition, scheduler, aggregation, or post aggregation script and trigger the aggregation in the business workflow-trigger node settings.

  • Condition: Operator and Sub-ordinates provide an IF condition in the settings of the business workflow-trigger node for initiation of asset aggregation by providing value to three fields: Attribute, Operator, and Attribute/Constant/Context variable while configuring or updating a business workflow sequence.
  • Scheduler: Operators and Subordinates schedule the execution of asset aggregation. Scheduler settings provide dedicated customization for configuring Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Custom (Cron) settings.
  • Aggregation Script: Operator and Sub-ordinates configure the aggregation script in business workflow-trigger node settings. In case of any error in the execution of the aggregation script, the application does not execute the business workflow-trigger node.
  • Post Aggregation Script: Operator and Sub-ordinates configure the post aggregation script in business workflow-trigger node settings. This script (if configured) runs after the business workflow trigger initiates the asset(s) in the target business workflow(s).

Obtain a paginated list of aggregated and parent assets displayed on the tracing page.

  • View the paginated list of aggregated and parent assets for a child asset on the tracing page. This feature is active only if aggregated or parent assets count is more than ten.

Aggregate assets as per the configurations with the support of different aggregation functions (“SUM,” “COUNT,” etc.)

  • The configured condition is evaluated when an asset reaches a business workflow-trigger node. If the state is false, the business workflow instance halts at the workflow-trigger node and is considered for the next batch of aggregation.
  • If the condition evaluates to true, the aggregation script (if configured) performs calculations per the configurations. Post the smart calculations; the asset creation is triggered in the target business workflows.
  • After the asset creation or trigger in the target business workflow, the post aggregation script (if configured) gets executed for all the business workflow instances in the current batch.
