Project Allow user to add Workflow node  v8.3.0

September 24th, 2021                                                                                                             Version 8.3.0

In this release, the operator/ sub-ordinate operator user can configure a new type of node in a workflow sequence called “Workflow-trigger node”. “Workflow-trigger node” when executed, can be used to trigger the creation of asset(s) in target workflow(s) only when the source workflow asset(s) gets completed. This is also accompanied by the mapping of source workflow asset attributes/ context variables with target workflow asset attributes/ context variables.

A new feature has been added to provide operator/ sub-ordinate operator users the ability to add multiple start group nodes while configuring a workflow sequence.

A new feature has been added which allows first group participant users to aggregate assets if allowed as per workflow configuration done by operator/ sub-ordinate operator user.

Additionally, users can also trace back the asset’s movement by visiting its tracing page accessible from the asset details page.

Features Delivered in this Update

Operator/ Sub-ordinate operator users can now configure "Workflow-trigger node"

  • Operator/ Sub-ordinate operator user can add a "Workflow-trigger node" while configuring/updating a workflow sequence and can configure the properties and settings of that "Workflow-trigger node".
  • On the execution of a "Workflow-trigger node", asset(s) are created in configured target workflow(s) accompanied by mapping of target workflow asset attributes/ context variables with source workflow asset attributes/ context variables.

Operator/ Sub-ordinate operator users can now configure multiple start group nodes in a workflow sequence

  • Operator users can now configure multiple initiating group nodes when configuring a workflow sequence.  Operator users can now configure multiple initiating group nodes when configuring a workflow sequence.

Participant Users can aggregate assets if allowed for a workflow as per configuration done by Operator/ Sub-ordinate operator user

  • First group participant users can now aggregate assets if they are allowed as per workflow configuration done by Operator/ Sub-ordinate operator user.
  • Aggregation of assets signifies that the newly created child assets (created via aggregation of other assets from various workflows) were derived from the parent assets which were aggregated.

Users can trackback the asset's movement

  • Users can trace back the asset’s movement (configurable).
  • This asset movement will show the end-to-end connectivity of different group nodes involved in the asset’s movement across various workflows.
