Project SOA Dynamic Attribute v7.1.0

May 11th, 2021                                                                                                                     Version 7.1.0

The objective of this release is to empower the Enterprise Admin to customize and configure business workflow triggers when attributes are updated. The DL Asset Track platform further enhances conditional operations using rules to modify attribute properties in runtime. The new features facilitate a granular configuration for child attributes under Set of Attributes (SOA).

Features Delivered in this Update

Enterprise Admins can trigger a business workflow on attribute updates

  • A trigger can be described as the initiation of a new business workflow instance.
  • Triggers are activated whenever attributes or attributes are updated in an ongoing business workflow. Enterprise Admins can manage trigger configurations in the steps mentioned below:
    • Select the attribute that activates the trigger when it is updated.
    • Assigning the business workflow that is triggered when the attribute is updated.
    • Mapping attributes and assigning attribute values for the new business workflow. Enterprise Admins can map the attributes under the attribute trigger connection functionality.
    • Configuring events to create an instance in the new business workflow and send the instance to the next group in the sequence.
  • Earlier, validations on the Set of Attributes (SOA) type were applied for the entire set. The DL Asset Track has enhanced granular configuration that enables the Enterprise Admins to:
    • Set validations for each attribute (child attributes) present under the SOA.
    • Use attributes under the SOA (child attribute) to configure a trigger.
    • Map SOA’s child attribute to the new business workflow initiated by a trigger.
  • The business workflow can be synchronized with updated SOA attributes and expressions, if any, by clicking on the ‘sync’ button under the Actions column on the DL Asset Track platform.
Enterprise Admins can override existing attribute properties in runtime using rules
  • Rules enable the modification of existing attribute properties in runtime based on defined conditions and values.
  • The rules configuration occurs for two major actions i.e. View Details and Edit option for an attribute.
  • For the View Details action, the Enterprise Admin can either show or hide the details of an attribute to group participants.
  • For Edit action, the Enterprise Admin can perform any one of the following configurations:
    • Hide: The details of the attribute will not be visible to the group participants.
    • Show – Disabled: The group participants can only view the attribute details.
    • Show – Optional: The group participants can view attribute details and can choose to provide an attribute value. As per the name, it is an optional field so the participant can choose to leave the value blank.
    • Show – Mandatory: The group participants can view attribute details and must provide an attribute value as it is a mandatory field.

Enterprise Admin can add expressions and dynamic attributes under Set of attributes (SOA)
  • SOA type supports expressions and dynamic attributes.
  • Enterprise Admins can add, modify, and remove the dynamic attributes and expressions from the SOA type.
  • Additionally, Admins can also view the values assigned to dynamic attributes and can update the values as per business requirements.
Other useful features compliment attribute level configurations
  • Enterprise Admins can hide a static attribute. Admins can configure the ‘hidden’ type property for static attributes for a business workflow group while adding or updating the business workflow.
  • ‘Update Only’ is an exclusive property category for child attributes under SOA type. The group participants:
    • Can update the SOA records received from the previous group in the business workflow.
    • Cannot add new SOA records.
    • Cannot delete any existing SOA records.
  • Enterprise Admins can onboard participants with ‘Do not allow to send instance’ access.
    • This feature restricts group participants to send business workflow instances to other groups.
    • The transfer of assets is restricted irrespective of the possession of the business workflow instance.
