Request Peer

1. In this case, there are no active peers. A user needs to create a new peer.

2. Log in to the DL Unify Portal.

3. Select the Element DB tile from the DL Unify Dashboard and enter the Element Secret.

4. Manage Databases is the default page seen upon login.

5. Click on the Manage Peers page.

6. There are 2 sections/tabs Active and Requested. The Active/Usable Peers are visible in the Active Peers section and all the Requested/Unusable Peers are visible in the Requested Peers section.

7. To request Peers, click on the Request Peer button in the top right corner of the screen.

8. A pop-up appears with the data fields of:

• Tenancy of the Peer (Shared/Dedicated)
• Description of the Peer

9. Fill in the necessary details and click on the Continue button.

10. A pop-up appears with the Confirm and Cancel buttons. Click on the Confirm button to create a new peer.

11. This request is then sent to the Approval process handled by the ElementDB admin team.

12. Once activated, the peer is usable and visible in the Active section.
