An Asset Category status will primarily be Active once created. You can change the status of an Asset Category to Deactivate or Activate.
Deactivate
To deactivate an Asset Category on the DL Asset Track™ platform, follow the steps listed below:
A deactivated Asset Category cannot be used for Workflow creation.
- Click on the Deactivate icon against the required Asset Category, under the Actions column.

- A confirmation message, “Are you sure?” pops up. Click Ok.

Once saved, a notification appears “Successfully Done” at the bottom left of the screen.

The deactivated Asset Category Status will change to Inactive.
If a message appears at the bottom left of the screen, "Asset Category cannot be deactivated, as it is part of an active workflow,"; deactivate the corresponding workflow before deactivating the Asset Category.

- Similarly, multiple Asset Categories can be Deactivated. Select the preferred list of asset categories by clicking on the respective checkboxes.

- Next, Deactivate tab appears at the top right of the listing page. Click Deactivate.

- A confirmation message, “Are you sure you want to continue?” pops up. Click Yes.

Once saved, a notification appears “Successfully Done” at the bottom left of the screen.

Activate
To activate an Asset Category on the DL Asset Track™ platform, follow the steps listed below:
- Click on the Activate icon in front of the required Asset Category, under the Actions column.

- A confirmation message, “Are you sure?” pops up. Click Ok.

Once saved, a notification appears “Successfully Done” at the bottom left of the screen.

The activated Asset Category Status will change to Active.
