To make any update on a Business Workflow, follow the steps as mentioned below:
- Login to the Asset Track platform with your operator credentials.
After login, Business Workflows is the default page.
- Click on the Edit icon under the Actions column of your desired Workflow.

A new update window appears from the right side of the screen that has three sections such as Workflow Details, Configure Sequence and Workflow Settings.

On the Workflow Details page, most of the fields Name, Asset Category, Description and Asset Profile are non-editable.

- Update Instance Label Name as required.
Configure Sequence
On Configure Sequence section, enable the Grid using the toggle button from the Workspace Settings.
Change the grid colour and background colour of the grid if needed.
Add only a Group node after your first node i.e., the Start node. Similarly, you can add any node after the last Business Entity.

If required to replace an existing Business Entity to a new business entity at the beginning, you can always draw another flow chart in the same Workflow while updating it.
You can also add other Business Entities/nodes between any 2 existing Business Entities.
- Click on the Configure/Settings icon at the top of a node or simply click on the node itself.

A new window slides in from the right side. This window has the name of the node itself.
- Here, from the Next Node drop-down list, select an existing group to add it.

The newly added group then connects to the existing Business Entity.
Next, click on the Settings icon of the newly added node.
Now, under the Basic Information section, select the last node from the Next Node drop-down list.
This adds a new Business Entity to the existing Business Workflow.
If a particular instance is already reached the last Business Entity, you cannot make changes to it.
However, if an instance is somewhere in the Business Workflow and a new Business Entity is added after it, the instance will pass through the newly added Business Entity and you can make changes to the same accordingly.
Under the Settings tab, toggle the Group Status radio button to change what is visible under the timeline.
Next, select the Attribute or Context Variable under the Group Status as required.

If a Trigger node for Scrip/Service node is not added at the end, add the nodes while updating the Workflow.
- Next, click on Update at the bottom right corner of the screen.
A same node will be created with just copy as a prefix to the original node name.
- Click on the cloned node to make changes to it.

Click on the Settings icon to make changes to the Cloned node.
Here, if required, change its Name, Display Name, as well as change the Business Entity to which it is associated with under the Basic Information section.
Select the Next Node from this Basic Information section.
Select Attributes in the ATTRIBUTES section for this node.
Similarly, define ATTRIBUTE SETTINGS and further define Properties, Set Values, and Rules under that section for this node.

- Next, under the AUTOMATION tab toggle across various conditions like Allow Receive, Allow auto-receive, Allow send, and others that you want to enable for this node while sending or receiving instances.

- Click on the TRIGGER tab and further add Trigger if required for this node.

- Finally, set a trigger node at the last using the Trigger last node script/service/workflow-trigger node on: option as required for the asset.
Four options available in this section are 1. On asset receive 2. On asset send 3. On asset update 4. None

Click on Update to save these changes in this cloned attribute.
Click on Cancel in case you want to abort the operation.
Now, under the Workflow Settings section, all settings for the Workflow can be updated except Rejection and Date Configuration settings.

You cannot change the start date of a Workflow after creating it, however, the platform allows to change the Estimated end date of the workflow.

- Click on the Workflow Settings tab under Business Workflows and click on the Date Configuration tab on the left side of your screen.

Next, click on the calendar icon under the Estimated end date to change the last date estimations for the Workflow.
Once changed, click on Update to save these changes.
You see a notification "Business Workflow has been updated" at the bottom left corner of the screen.

- Next, click on the Deactivated Instance Settings to select if required to send deactivated instances from one node to another.
Deactivated Instance Settings is enabled while updating a workflow so that you can simply send deactivated instances if required after creating a workflow. Likewise, you can also disable Deactivated Instance Settings in case you enabled it before. Simply follow the same steps for the settings that you used while creating a Business Workflow.
- Toggle the Allow movement for deactivated instance switch to activate/deactivate the function.

- Next, select/deselect attributes from the Allow update section.

- Click on Update to save these changes.

You see a notification Business Workflow has been updated at the bottom left corner of the screen.

Next, click on the Instance Refresh Settings tab on the left side of your screen.
Copy the format present just above the code editor screen and paste in the code editor screen.

Adjust the font size by clicking on the + or - icons present on the right side of the code editor screen.
Now, enter the attribute field name in place of the attribute word and enter the real attribute value in place of the attribute value word.
Next, click on Update at the top right corner to save these changes.
A notification "Business Workflow has been updated" appears at the bottom left corner of the screen.

Next, click on the Dashboard Settings tab on the left side of your screen.
Select or deselect Attributes from the Dashboard columns 1 section.
You can also visualize the preview under the Columns Preview section. Similarly, see the total number of attributes selected right beside the Dashboard Columns 1

- Once selected, click on Update at the top right corner to activate this function.
You see a notification "Business Workflow has been updated" at the bottom left corner of the screen.

- Next, click on the Timeline Settings tab on the left side of your screen.
You now see all Business Entities in the workflow listed under the Group Name tab.

Click on the radio button under the Show Complete Timeline tab of that Business Entity if you want its Participant to see the entire timeline.
Next, click on the radio button under the Limited to current asset position tab to limit the timeline to its current entity position.
Click on Update at the top right corner to update these changes.
You now see a notification "Business Workflow has been updated" at the bottom left of your screen.

In the Workflow Settings tab, click on the Key Attribute Settings tab on the left-hand side of your screen.
Now, click on the drop-down list under the Select Key Attributes tab.
Select attributes that you want to be unique from this drop-down list.
You can also select multiple attributes as key attributes. In that case, those attributes work together as composite keys. In such cases, both the values need to be unique for each end-user.
