The Orders Business Workflow is a process for tracking and aggregating delivery orders for a specific delivery partner. The Orders Business Workflow does not require any manual intervention. Therefore, WMC team members are not required to add or update any information in the workflow sequence.
The Orders Business Workflow consists of three steps, as shown below:
- Inbound Walmart data
- Smart calculations via automation
- LMD Team

Orders Business Workflow Process
- First, order-specific information is retrieved from Walmart's inbound data. When DL LastMile captures delivery data for a delivery partner, the Orders Business Workflow initiates.
- Next, DL LastMile performs automated smart calculations to calculate order details such as volume, date, and time. The Google API is used to calculate the distance between the business and the customer's delivery location. DL LastMile's Smart Calculations feature is used to generate order-related data.
- Finally, the aggregated data is double-checked, and multiple orders are combined to create a single invoice.
Note
WMC's configured business logic determines the accumulation period and calculations.
- The final step initiates the invoice generation process. The invoice is sent to the respective business workflow. The invoice business workflow is responsible for managing and approving invoices generated by the accumulation of delivery orders.
