Asset Profile is a collection of Attributes selected from one Asset Category. One Asset Profile can be linked to only one Asset Category. Asset Category can have multiple Asset Profiles.
Follow the steps to understand how to create an Asset Profile:
Login to the DL Asset Track Operator account.
Click on Asset Profile at the left Navigation panel.
Click Asset Profile
Asset Profile listing page appears.
- Click on + Asset Profile at the top right corner of the screen.
The + Asset Profile tab appears at the center of the screen, if there are no pre-existing records.

A Create window slides in from the right side of the screen.
On Create window, enter the Asset Profile details as follows:
- Name – Asset Profile name.
Asset Profile name can be up to 50 characters and a combination of letters, numbers, or special characters.
- Asset Category – Select Asset Category from the drop-down list.
Attributes under the selected Asset Category are available for selection, for creating an Asset Profile.
- Description – Provide description for the Asset Profile. The max. limit is 2000 Characters.

- Click Next, the ATTRIBUTES page appears.
Next tab is enabled only after data is entered in all the mandatory fields.
To create an Asset Profile, it is mandatory to enter data in the BASIC INFORMATION and ATTRIBUTES section.

- Click on Expand icon to maximize the ATTRIBUTES page.

The window displays the Group tags (column name for a set of Attributes) with Attributes, from the selected Asset Category
- Select the required Attributes by clicking on the checkboxes.

- If required, click on the six dots beside the Group tag (containing group of attributes) to drag and move to the desired position.

- If required, click on the delete icon at the top right corner of the Group tag to delete.

- If required, click on Restore Tag at the top right of the screen to restore the deleted Group tag(s).

- Check the respective tag checkbox(es) to restore the deleted tag(s).

- Click Restore at the bottom right of the screen.

The platform also provides an option to re-arrange the sequence of the Attributes in a Group tag.
- Click, drag, and move the required Attribute in a particular group tag to the desired position.
Re-arrangement of Attributes
Creating or updating the sequence of tags and attributes of an Asset Profile fixes their position permanently. On navigating back, the changed positions appear. You can change the position again by following the same steps.
- Click on Create Another checkbox to stay on the Create page and add more Asset Profile.
The Create Another function keeps you on the same page to add a new Asset Profile by deleting all texts.
- Click on the Retain Data checkbox to retain the added data in the textboxes for creating another Asset Profile.
Retain Data checkbox is enabled only if the Create Another checkbox is selected.
- Click Save to create the Asset Profile.
Save is enabled only when data is entered in all the mandatory fields.
Once saved, a notification appears “Asset Profile has been created successfully” at the bottom left of the screen.
