Expressions are functions for you to store certain values that can be revoked whenever necessary; these can be used in multiple instances.
Login to the DL Asset Track™ platform with your platform Operator credentials.
Click on Asset Category from the left Navigation Panel.
Asset Category - Records
Now, choose the required Asset Category from the Asset listing page.
Next, click on the Eye icon from the Actions column or click anywhere on the row of the required Asset Category.

The required Asset Category page appears.
From the Asset Category page, click on the Expressions tab.
From the Expressions tab, click on + Expression at the top right corner or at the centre to add an Expression.
A + Expression appears in the middle only if there are no pre-existing records.
Create an Expression
A Create page appears, enter the Expression name in the Name field.
Select the Expression Type from the drop-down list.
Save option at the bottom right corner of the screen, only enables after data is entered in these mandatory fields.
Values - Constant, Expression and Attribute
- Choose among Constant, Expression, or Attribute and drag & drop your desired option in the value textboxes.
Constants are certain numbers in an Expression. These terms remain constant throughout the calculations.
Create Expression value(s)
- Click on + icon to add more values for calculation.

- To change the entered value, click on the cross(X) icon from the values field.
Delete extra expression value(s)
- To create another Expression for the same Asset Category while staying on the same page, check Create Another box.
The Create Another function clears all data fields and keeps you on the same page to add a new Expression.
- To create another Expression with the current data, check the Retain Data box.
This function lets you retain the added data across data fields to simplify Expression addition.
Retain Data checkbox enables only after the Create Another checkbox is enabled.
To clear all the entered details such as Name and expression Type, click on Clear at the bottom right of the screen.
To cancel the process, click on Cancel at the bottom right of the screen or cross (X) icon at the top right corner of the screen.
Click on Save to save the created Expression.

Next, a notification “Successfully done.” is displayed at the bottom left of your screen.
